Production Humidity Testing

Measure material moisture and set chip placement — so wet stock does not enter the sealed box

Short answer

Stage 2 uses a humidity meter and the Bester Anti-mould after-sales form. We record moisture on vamp, midsole, lining, outer carton, inner box, baffle paper, toe-cap paper, shoelace, and wrap/copy paper, then grade Normal / Controllable / High / Risk. Mold needs spores, humidity, and temperature. Vapor-phase packs only keep working when material moisture is under control.

Limitations

  • Sampling is not 100% inspection
  • Material can re-wet after the test if it sits in a damp warehouse
  • Placement rules need factory follow-through on later lots
