Pre-Production Environment Audit

Find mold risks in the factory before the first pair is packed — not after the container opens

Short answer

Stage 1 fills the plant environmental analysis on the Bester Anti-mould after-sales form: weather, temperature, air humidity, workshop, assembly line, walls, warehouse, external wall, and dispatch point, using a humidity meter. Catch storage climate risk before the first pair is packed.

When you need an audit

  • 📦 New factory or first cooperation
  • 🌧️ Before rainy season — typically March–June and August–October in South China
  • 🏢 New warehouse
  • 🔍 Brand factory audit — you need an environment file
  • ⚠️ Previous lot had a mold claim
  • 🔄 No warehouse check for more than 6 months

Plant environmental analysis fields

Same checklist as the after-sales form:

Weather
Temperature
Air humidity
Workshop
Assembly line
Walls
Warehouse
External wall
Dispatch point

If goods stay in store for a long time, keep the space dry with internal recirculation ventilation so weather does not raise finished-goods humidity and the mold index.

Audit flow

1

Briefing

Location, warehouse area, stored goods, shipment cycle. Prefer a morning visit.

2

On-site measurement

Multi-point climate, leaks, ventilation, stacking clearance from walls and floors.

3

Photo log

Each test point and each defect is photographed and marked.

4

Risk report

High / medium / low severity for each point.

5

Remediation list

Practical fixes (fans, 30 cm wall clearance, desiccant in corners) plus the next service stage.

Limitations

  • The audit finds problems — it does not repair leaks or install fans
  • The report is for the test day
  • It cannot guarantee zero mold — container rain still needs Stage 3 plus desiccant poles

FAQ

What does the pre-production audit check?

The after-sales form plant analysis: weather, temperature, air humidity, workshop, assembly line, walls, warehouse, external wall, and dispatch point. A humidity meter is used. Long storage must stay dry with recirculating ventilation.

How long does it take?

Half a day to one day. Production does not need to stop.

Can the report be used for a brand audit?

Yes. Re-test if conditions change after the visit.

Do you fix the problems you find?

We recommend fixes. Physical repairs are the factory’s work. Warehouse mold can move to Stage 4.

Next: in-process humidity testing

After the plant analysis, test the same nine form parts — vamp, midsole, lining, cartons, papers, lace — so wet material does not enter the box.
